Will also only be for a couple months untill i get new struts. Thanks guys | | | 06-07-2006, 04:42 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Maybe not. The footnote on their website says this: Performance aftermarket shocks or struts is highly recommended in this application. It doesn't have the same warning for the Sport Springs. | | | 06-07-2006, 05:38 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! Thanks guys | It is not recommended. The Race Springs lower the car over 2" which may cause the factory struts/shocks to bottom out. Also if your not installing them yourself, you are looking at $300-$400 spent on installation which you could use towards a new set of strut/shocks. I have some overstock in Bilstein Sports from the last group buy if you're interested. I can offer you the same price including shipping. Initially I was developing them to bring them to market, but I'm not sure it's feasible. I wish there was more than 24 hours in a day! Btw, did you install the Bilstein Sports on your ti? __________________ Engine: 2.1L Hartge conversion (bored to 86X91mm, ported & polished head, new valves, new crank, & upgraded ECU), Supersprint SS headers, Hartge exhaust, custom cat bypass (track), KV85 wires, Bosch platinum plugs, Vitesse cf spark plug cover, Vitesse cf CAI, Samco hoses, Fiamm air horns. Cheers, | It's been awhile hasnt it? BTW, I havent forgoten to get you the Hi-Res pics of my car with the new suspension setup. I'm just not fully there as far exterior mods go so that she can be pictured and widely viewed yet. However, I am getting there. I promise to get you the pics before the end of summer. Now back on topic, you should NEVER put race spings on stock shocks and struts. Not unless you want your car to handle like a boat on waavy waters. I do recomend that you buy the shock/strut set from H3_2.1-ti, he is very very very good with his buisness, and I highly recomend him, as do alot of other members on this board. Plus, you only want to have to take apart you whole suspension once......IMO its a pain in the ass to install, so do it once, and do it right the first time. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 06-07-2006, 10:51 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! I had stock wheels when i did it. No problems with rubbing at all. Increased performaces a crap load. The only bad thing is that i wear down tires so quick because the rear camber is -2.2. Thats a good setting for racing but for street you will need new tires every 8 months or so. The car is in the shop right now and is getting -1.9 in the back. Has anyone had -1.9 or higher? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
