you need to give a little more detail...do turn the key and keep in the ignition position or do you turn the key several times...

what kind of sounds if any do you hear

the battery is only a few monthes old, and i guess it kinda did start when it got cold. i turn the key and keep it in ignition position and i hear the normal sound of the ignition turning. it starts normally, i just feel its strange that it went from a split second start up everytime to all of sudden several seconds out of nowhere. does it have anything to do with the extended time the oil takes to flow in the cold? right now im using pennzoil platinum, i heard synthetics flow better in cold.

First thing to look at is the intake boot.

Make sure it is not starting to crack and let air in.

When mine got a hole in it the car would no longer start.

Once I fixed that, it started right up.
