Plenty of 4 cylinder models available in Europe. As gas gets to $4-5/gallon, a little less torque and better gas mileage does not sound so bad. | | | 05-02-2008, 05:25 AM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Okay, time for me to agree. Went out to the local dealer today to pick up a part and looked around a bit afterwards. The 135i definately looks better than the 128i, and they both look better in person than in pics. That said, even if I had the money, I don't think I'd get one. I'd want the 135i obviously and they had a heavily loaded convertible there who's sticker read just over $50k. I'd go for the coupe, but I'm sure it would still be up there. They also had an X6 there. I think the same goes for it as the 1-series. Looks better in person than pictures. It definately has an interesting look (I like it), but I'm curious what the view to the rear is. It definately has a high rump and the rear window is very sloped. There are all kinds of four cylinders in Europe. I'm going to wait. They could even lighten up the 128. It would not do half bad on mileage and emissions from what I saw on the sticker. Given the way I want to drive and the way I should to drive, I think a four cylinder is a great idea. __________________ Just got the car. Now that $5.00 a gallon gas is approaching, the nay sayers will be thinking it's a great idea. I get a laugh thinking about all these hybrids coming out now. Most of them only get fuel economies equal to our cars. So in many ways, we have been ahead of the curve. This time make the 4 banger a little more peppy, and it's gonna be a winner. __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S.
