When I ordered them I asked for a six line kit for a Compact (318ti as it has discs) I don't have a part number for the kit. I got the kit from e30zone shop.

look fine from the pictures, all of the connector are correct for brake discs all round.

You can compare with mine

Dyno Run & ECU Remap

After the engine modifications I decided to have the ECU remapped to take full advantage of the changes. I took the car to West Tuning by Thurxton for a custom remap.

The key goal was to increase the power in the mid range and stop over and under fuelling through the power curve. The result of these changes help to improve the drivablity, it does not go for maximum bhp.

The following video shows the first run before the remap. This shows what effect the m50 intake manifold and big bore throttle body had on the engine.

Once the first dyno run was completed the ecu software was downloaded, unfortunately my ECU turned out to be one a very limited run, it has slightly different hardware & software. This meant the remap had to wait until software's check sum number could be confirmed. As a result the remap was done on the next day and I was not present so there is no video.

New Wheels

A while ago I encountered a pot hole on a B road while driving at night. As a result two of my wheels were damaged. Despite having them rebalanced I still had vibrations.

After putting it off a long while I decided to get some new wheels. Although I really liked my original wheels I chose to go with something else as a replacement.

Nice pics, I have the Euro tail lights now also and only have one light per tail come on when the parking lights/headlights are on unlike the US version that has two lights per tail come on. We didn't get a rear fog light option so this is why I do believe.

Default nice wheels

Rich,

Gotta love the Alpinas. Look like originals (no valve caps?).
Been following your work and wondered what suspension you have fitted. I reckon on needing some new bushes on the rear of our ti and am very tempted to get some new shocks and springs at the same time. So far i have found spax kit at 300 and koni kit at 374. Am on a tight budget so cant go to billies and eibachs this time.

Also, have you thought about adding m tech door mouldings? i think they are a nice finishing touch ( i have them on mine). Whilst in portugal, i saw a compact with mtec mouldings, but no moulded in badges just smooth one piece plastic, which would add to the stealth factor.

i couldnt help but not the 8 series in the background of one of your pics, is that another ride of yours? or are you ding something interesting with the 8 or 12 cylinder

Regards

Nige

windnsea00: You could have a look a re-wiring your tail lights so they behave as you would like.

Nige
It turns out that I am having trouble with the suspension at the front. The inside of the tyre rubs on the springs and height adjusters.

I've had a look at installing a spacer however that doesn't look like a good option. I may end up getting Koni Yellows and sell my current ones (AVO GTZ coilovers). They will not be height adjustable but should give clearance for the wheels.

So for now I have 15"s on the front while decide the best course of action.

As for the 8 series I think my dad wouldn't be too happy if I pinch his engine, i'll need to wait till goes on holiday

^It's actually simple enough as putting on the US cluster behind the tail light...I'm just waiting for the correct turn signal bulbs to come in as the Euro orange ones are offset thus they won't fit the US socket.

Default rubbing

Rich,

Rubbing not good. I would have thought coilovers would be of a smaller diameter compared to regular shocks and springs, do they rub all the time then?

I fitted some bmw16s on my old e36 saloon with 225 50 16 tyres on them and had some slight rubbing on full lock on the inner wheelarch about middle of the wheel. When i looked on the bmw etk disk, it says the wheels should only be fitted in conjunction with a steering rack limiter. Basically something to stop you applying too much lock. Do you think i could locate them? Of course not, nor could BMW.................................. Fortunately i have a friendly mot tester who couldnt replicate the rubbing on a road test so i was ok.

Bit different to your prob, but it may help.

Whens your dad away again?
