IMO, drifting is lame.

But if you want to get started, just get a set of bald tires on the rear. That's really all you need to get started.

actually that would just make it worse ... if you knew about drifting you have to have traction in the rear bald tires just make it uncontrolable and you will spin out

ti is not a drift car. you want something like a Nissan SX (SR20DET or CA18DET versions).

Its a sport of control and precision. I go to see it regularly now and find it more entertaining than circuit lap races.

Drifting to win a "race" is retarded, but drifting is awsome if you are doing it for fun. Ive never drifted the ti but I dont doubt that you can do it.

just about anything can "drift" in the classical sense of the word.. even a front wheel drive car. I more consider the sport of "drifting" to be more akin to a long controlled powerslide

Dude I think he's been drifting BEFORE the movie came into concept...

I like the whole drifting thing...but when the movie started coming together and stuff...I think I'm starting to dislike it...
I don't want to see all these kids try to drift their mommy's FWD Camry or what not...
I used to want a 240sx to try and learn how to drift...everybody laughed at me because "that car's slow going straight"...
Now when I see them, they say..."I WANT A 240SX!"
I got my car because it was my brother's old car...
Please keep in mind that there ARE people who KNEW about drifting waaay before people made it mainstream here...

Atleast they've pretty much run out of "underground" motorsports to make movies with. They've done street racing, street racing with turns, and drifting. Not really anything left.
