I've had a thing for ti's for quite some time. My name is Dave and I知 in Pittsburgh. I use to be part of the ti yahoo board and really think they are awesome cars. I love this site especially the fact you can get a list of cars from both auto trader & craigslist from all over. Please let me up so that being logged in I can see that. I LOVE IT!! Currently between my wife and I we have a 05 x5 3.0, an 89 325ix and my 72 2002 that is Colorado orange. It looks like we're going to be moving in the months ahead and I値l no longer be able to walk to work like we do now. At first I was going to purchase an e34 530 to use but after a little 'Come to Jesus' talk with my wife I realized that relying on an 18 year old car for day to day transportation was risky at best. Ideally I壇 LOVE to get a club sport that's been dasc'd and have a blast getting to and from work. Either way, I知 pushing hard to get a ti for commuting during the non snowy days and spend the rest of the days swapping between the ti and the 2002. So I知 REALLY interested in posting about the wrecked club sport in Ohio as well as the silver one in Ohio that痴 available. Unfortunately right now we have no room for a car where we are at and will have to wait until we close on our house to purchase the car. i look forward to reading more of the great posts and how to's that you have here on the site as well. It costs A LOT more to keep on the road (quite a bit of ix only parts on it) but man it is just awesome for bad weather. i had an 325es for a while and thought it was just the cat's ass in traffic. the torque was just awesome and was a completely different ride than an i model. Honestly, i think had more fun in the es than a regular i. I'm moving to Pittsburgh in a couple weeks. I was hoping to be unique :-( and not have to hear the chicks say, "hey, your car looks just like Dave's wife's car!" | | | 12-18-2007, 10:33 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Pittsburgh, Pa Posts: 107 | LOL!!! Hey zboot! glad to hear you are coming up to the 'burgh!!! man i'll tell you one thing BRING YOUR WINTER JACKET WITH YOU!!!! when we would go to florida for xmas we'd go and buy winter closes down there that no one else would by at a fraction of what it is here and be good to go! don't have a ti yet and when we do it'll most likely be for me to drive (even though i really like the ix, it's my wife's baby which she will give up ONLY when i give up the 02). so where are you going to be at in Pittsburgh? Currently I'm in south side (a GREAT place to be at if you are married or single but w/<2 kids). Looking to move into the burbs for the kids. I'm going to miss it BIG time but we know it's best 'for the kids' right now. -dave | | | 12-19-2007, 12:34 AM | #10 | Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Little Rock Posts: 51 | Tallahassee to Pittsburgh? I did my BS/MS in Rochester, worked in Tallahassee for a year, now I'm going to U Pitt for my PhD (and hoping to sneak in the back door to CMU). I'm going to be living in Mt Washington . . . or really a little between beechview and west liberty until july. After that, I haven't decided. My dad thinks I should live in Oakland so I can walk to campus. | | | 12-19-2007, 01:44 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Little Rock Posts: 51 | Good luck with the Pitt and CMU things you've got goin on. It's just hard to fathom moving from a place where you see the sun nearly everyday to a place where it's easy to forget that there is a sun in the sky. Anywho, Americas most livable city welcomes you aceyx- Ha I almost typed stillers but figured no one would understand. | | | 12-19-2007, 03:29 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Pittsburgh, Pa Posts: 107 | +1 tybate is right. that florida lifestyle would be tough to give up!! zboot i WOULD NOT live in oakland if you don't want to have car problems (theft/break in etc). I had my jeep broken into and stolen from oakland and have a story on almost every friends car who parked in that area. One thing the might not have told you yet but w/your pitt id you can use the transit all you want FOR FREE!!! Mt. Washington is cool, but you are really 'away' from everything being up there. If you like to enjoy yourself and have a good time you might want to seriously look into something like south side. If you get into biking you can literally ride your bike from s.side to Oakland in less than 30 min. It's something to think about. teetime4one thanks for the offer on the car. i very much appreciate it. Being a reformed whore i'm going to have to pass, but at least you are smoking good smokes! you guys got that right GO STILLERS!!! our 2.5 year knows the two most important things about football. 1. GO STEELERS!!!! 2. Cleveland sucks! (it's a rivalry thing...) Hey after he has the fundamentals everything else will come w/time. thanks guys for the welcoming. i very much appreciate it. -Dave | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
