Question WATER PUMP QUESTION

I'm replacing the water pump for my 95 318 ti. Does anbody know if I should get a water pump gasket for this model??? I read something about putting a new gasket but there was not enough information. I have been looking for a "water pump gasket" on the internet for my car and so far I have been unsucsessful. So I wonder if I really need to put one.
Please help me with this! I am !
Thanks!

The water pump should come with the gasket. I know the water pump from the dealer comes with the gasket and the one on www.bavauto.com comes with the gasket.

The O-ring is all there is, you don't need anything else. Just make sure the new pump has a metal impeller!

Well, thank you, and yes it's a pump with a metal impeller.

How many miles are on your ti? While the coolant is drained it might not be a bad idea to replace some of the rubber radiator fittings, as they tend to crack over time. Does anybody have the part number for these?

Here's a good writeup (though the M42/M44 looks a little different): http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...water-pump.htm

Thanks!! My little ti is over 155,000 miles, but I took it to the BMW on november for service and they replaced a whole lot of things. I recently replaced the radiator and the hoses, checked the belts and they looked like new (I am thinking they replaced them in the BMW, I don't remember and I would have to read the documents they gave me with all the work they did). What do you mean exactly when you say radiator fittings? And I used the tutorial @ pelican parts to replace the radiator and other stuff.
Thanls for your suggestion!
