Anyways, the new tranny is installed, only took 10 minutes to get the stuck starter torx out with the "Craftsman Bolt-Out kit" Feels good to be driving it, but wishing I had the money for the ZF. Turned the boost down to 12psi and taking it easy again. Made a funny photo though, two of them are blown tranny's, the one I blew and the other my friend had the notorious 1st gear popout problem. | | | 09-22-2011, 08:19 AM | #156 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minneapolis, MN Posts: 307 | | | | 09-22-2011, 08:25 AM | #157 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minneapolis, MN Posts: 307 | | | | 09-22-2011, 11:25 AM | #158 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: PA Posts: 283 | Where is the video and pictures we "really" want to see?? Car looks good kid! | Thanks, the video will have to wait till next year! oops, I blew this transmission already, holy smokes it disintegrated in a month I had beat the crap out of that transmission for 3 years with the 4 cyl prior to swapping it back in as my spare. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTMbMnRXJFE This was when I destroyed the last transmission, it took me awhile to upload the vid, and wrecked the current one 2 nights ago. I have some surprises up my sleeve in the next couple months, so stay tuned! It will include upgrading to the ZF transmission!! Getting my welding mask on, and going to town! | | | 09-30-2011, 02:25 AM | #161 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: PA Posts: 283 | It's about time dude. I put 50 miles on my old getrag before it blew. Interested to see how this reinforcement in the rear turns out. Even though the wood is working so well! | | | 11-12-2011, 03:19 AM | #162 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minneapolis, MN Posts: 307 | Well I've been busy with work, which is good for the car I suppose! Doing to some grinding! Hey, what did you do to my floor??? It's going to be a long winter! | | | 11-25-2011, 02:09 PM | #163 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: PA Posts: 283 | Done yet? | | | 12-15-2011, 08:42 AM | #164 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minneapolis, MN Posts: 307 | Quote: Originally Posted by bubela Done yet? | You're funny! All new poly bushings, new springs and adjustable perches, and a custom sway bar mounting setup. I'm changing from the 3.73 gearing, to 2.93 e30 differential. Apparently the e36 dual ear diff cover bolts right up the e30 case and will be very solid mounting solution for me. Quote: PSSSS.... hey Bubela... What's your bottom dollar on the e36 dual ear diff cover you have on ebay? I'll let you try to get what you're asking, but if you decide to let it go for cheap, you let me know! | I haven't ordered anything yet, but this is the plan as of now. I need to focus on welding up my new Dirt 3 / GT5 - Logitech G27 cockpit so that I have something to drive over winter! lol | | | 12-15-2011, 01:19 PM | #165 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | With that power I'd go solid __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
