Cool A fitment question about new goodies.

Well long story short I had a fender bender with the Ti. My nose panel is once again torn up, the front bumper cover looks to be messed up too, and so are my grilles. The hood is fine and so is everything else. So I was looking for a new nose panel and noticed I can order the one for 97-99 which have the newer grilles instead of the 92-96. My question is can this nose panel fit my car which is a 96? I believe it can fit I just need to get the newer grilles to fit it. Also I was looking at ddmtuning and found the front bumper for a good price and the grilles. Has anyone had any problems with fitment with thier bumpers? Seems to me they should be fine. And when I get painted should I get the lip painted too or just leave it?

1. Can the 97-99 nose panel fit my 96? I should just need 97-99 grilles right?

2. Anyone had problems with the ddmtuning M3 front bumper fitting?

3. Should I get the bumper lip painted to match the bumper?

Sorry to hear about a little fender bender... that sucks..

1- yes and yes
2- mine fit perfectly, bumpers are something DDM does very well.
3- my vote is no paint on the lip (or moldings)

Good luck!

Thanks for the info James. I am going to get the 97-99 nose panel and grilles. Also one more question did you get the bumper with the intergrated lip or the detachable one? I was thinking of just getting the one with the detachable lip so it would be easier to paint since I am going to keep the lip unpainted. I also saw they have the clubsport international molding badge for 20.00 so that will be added on to the list as well.

Will, I got the one with the integrated lip. However, I recommend getting the one with the detachable lip, as it is easier to paint and it is replaceable if you scrape/scuff/hit it on a curb or parking bumper...

Well I must say that I am very impressed with DDmtuning's shipping. I ordered the parts this afternoon and I already have a tracking number and they should be here by Friday. I will take pics on Friday before I go out of town to see Lord T & Eloise in concert at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville.

DDM has taken their lumps with regards to shipping, as it always was one of their issues... Glad to see that they are stepping up and shipping quickly...

Have fun at the concert!

Brandon, their bumpers are very good quality for the price and the fit is very good, same with the m3 mirrors. Several vendors carry the same product for more money, so this is a case where they have both decent quality and the best price. (Don't order their coilovers, however...)

Well to update. My parts arrived from DDM on Wednesday so it took about a week from when I placed my order. Not bad at all. I will be posting pics tomorrow of everything. It is not on the car yet and still has to be painted. I have to wait on my next paycheck before I can get the paint done. Also I ordered the BMW Motorsport International side molding badges. I already put them on my car and will be posting pics of that tomorrow as well. I think they look good and like them on my car I just think they would look a ton better on a white BMW. But either way they look good on mine too.

I like those badges, I didn't want to come off as a poser with the ///M badges on my non-M car so they're a nice compromise

Ok well here are some pics of the new bumper. It has not been painted yet and I will be getting that done soon. Also some pics of my new motorsport badges on the Ti. Sorry for it taking so long to get these pics up. Also keep in mind the car was dirty

LOL. Yeah man I do. I moved in with my sister and she has two kids. They colored my room. We are going to paint it a different color here soon. The kids are older now and don't draw on the walls anymore plus I have put a keyed doorknob on my door so they can't get in my room without a key. lol.
