Talking Junk Yard Gold

I'm constantly on the lookout for 318ti's and M3's in my area. Recently I found a 318ti at a Pick-N-Pull in Colorado Springs. They only give a year and model for the description online. So, I filled up ol' Zippy and headed down to see it. When I got to the car I couldn't believe my eyes...it was a sport model that had barely been vulturized. I went around back to find the bumper before looking at the interior. THERE IT WAS!!!
I then got the doors open to find a decent black/grey millpoint sport interior. The seats were in 7/10 condition...of course the rear seat was a little better. But, I didn't have enough scratch in my pocket for the seats.
What I did have enough money for was the black dashboard with a few goodies attached that Zippy doesn't have. ASC button (not sure if Zippy has the wiring for it) and the fog light knob with the relay in back.
So, out the door I went for $62.50. And, I still can't believe my luck!!!
Oh, I also got the black sunroof surround. Looks cool with the tan headliner.

The dash is in...but I have to button up the glovebox and under panel on the drivers side. It went in easy enough...the only problem area being the piping for the HVAC that goes around the passenger side airbag support. I figured it out tho, and it went back in without a hitch.
I was run back into the house by a blizzard that is hitting my area tonight...the winds are really blowing right now! And, I can't be in the garage when Cindy gets home...that's where Zippy II goes. Especially when it snows. lol

Damn, why can't I find that stuff in SoCal? Every pick-a-part I go to, the car is almost stripped to the bone.

Keep at it...you'll find a car worth picking eventually.
Also, welcome to the Org.

I wish I could find an Mtechnik kit locally, ahh, someday. Until then, great scores.
