This is off topic, so I apologize, the only reason I looked at this thread is because of your name, but my first car was an '84 CRX, and I loved it...1.5 liter, 3 barrel carb, but a high redline, it was fun! Then I was reading my dad's Roundel magazine, and I saw the '95 318ti, and I thought, "thats the BMW version of the CRX, I will have one, one day!" And here I am, there is nothing better man, this is my 7th vehicle, and I love it the most...both the CRX I had and the '91 civic I had lasted to just over 200k miles, but I just hit 309k this past weekend, and I finally had to replace my clutch!!! Everything was all original up to 308k...engine, trans, clutch...and fun to drive to boot! Back to the topic- these are hot wheels, I love BBS mesh wheels, I just wish they were not gold... http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24095 __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Turbos are great!...Especially the higher mileage m42's & m44's...A BUDGET setup should be good for atleast 400rwhp...I was running 60psi on stock internals and homemade parts... | | | | 10-21-2008, 03:57 AM | #9 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | | | | 10-21-2008, 04:10 AM | #10 | Banned Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: los angeles Posts: 80 | man you guys make me want to spend on my ti right away lol. you all have beautiful tis!!! thanks for the support about the wheels. where can i buy bnew rims that are bmw stock? used pref. i saw one on ebay but they were 18s lol Off topic: cooljess76 where did you get your headlights? they are awesome! BobbyDigital- wow 300000 on a TI? are you serious? all stock? why do i see alot of TIs for sale that needs or have been rebuilt engines at less than 200k? whats your secret hehehe? my family all has Hondas and they go 300k easy without any valve job or rebuilt. but havent really seen a bimmer do the same. i have looked at other cars for sale in my search for my TI in the past 3 weeks. sad to say half of them already had valve jobs, one needs a valve job at only 167k, two have already had engine rebuilt and the other one over heating and could not be solved. all these were below 200k. but i thought hey what the hell... if my engine breaks then that gives me an excuse to put in an M3 engine lol tiFreak- no dude just the ex | | | 10-21-2008, 04:16 AM | #11 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by 8thcivic Off topic: cooljess76 where did you get your headlights? they are awesome! | ddmtuning.com __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 10-21-2008, 05:09 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 237 | I got my lights there too check this link out, its a great deal http://www.ddmtuning.com/e36lipa1.html its the birthday bash package and it came with SOOOO much stuff... the only problem i'm having is figuring out the wiring on them Sorry for being so off topic | | | 10-21-2008, 05:17 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Quote: Originally Posted by 8thcivic BobbyDigital- wow 300000 on a TI? are you serious? all stock? why do i see alot of TIs for sale that needs or have been rebuilt engines at less than 200k? whats your secret hehehe? my family all has Hondas and they go 300k easy without any valve job or rebuilt. but havent really seen a bimmer do the same. i have looked at other cars for sale in my search for my TI in the past 3 weeks. sad to say half of them already had valve jobs, one needs a valve job at only 167k, two have already had engine rebuilt and the other one over heating and could not be solved. all these were below 200k. but i thought hey what the hell... if my engine breaks then that gives me an excuse to put in an M3 engine lol | i'm with you on the engine swap...and since you already bought one...I dont want to be a partypooper...but mine is a '95, so it has the m42...cast iron block, its practically bulletproof...plus regular maintenance and only Mobil 1 oil... __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Turbos are great!...Especially the higher mileage m42's & m44's...A BUDGET setup should be good for atleast 400rwhp...I was running 60psi on stock internals and homemade parts... | | | | 10-21-2008, 05:42 AM | #14 | Banned Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: los angeles Posts: 80 | i got a 96. i dont know much about it. should have looked for a 99 or 98 cuz they run on regular lol. anyway back to topic. where to get stock m3 rims? | | | 10-21-2008, 02:58 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | bimmerforums.com wheel classified section is a good place, you can also try ebay or craigslist | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
