My parents took my car out last night for dinner. As they were trying to back out. A silver SUV slammed into the rear of the car. Smashed my Hatch in, but didn't break the window. It also messed up my rear bumper. I was just wondering how much it would be to get a new Hatch, and bumper. Her insurance company is going to pay for it, but I want to know what i have to look forward to. I hope they think its worth fixing. 135,000 miles 1997. | | | 04-30-2007, 04:33 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Los Alamos, NM Posts: 344 | pics? | | | 04-30-2007, 05:20 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | I'll have pics up tomorrow. | | | 04-30-2007, 05:22 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | THAT SUCKS! | | | 05-01-2007, 02:01 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | Here are the pics of the damage. | | | 05-01-2007, 02:32 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Oh man that sucks... I hope it all works out. My car was hit&run last week and I'm still grieving. It doesn't look totaled though so I wouldn't worry that much. | | | 05-01-2007, 02:57 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | Yeah I went to get some estimates today. They told me it was going to be $2600. It is the most I've ever been quoted for such little damage. everything has to be new. Crazy. | | | 05-01-2007, 01:33 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I don't see alot of damage on the bumper, I'd gladly buy it off you if your getting a new one. Since it's black anyway. Good Luck with it. __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 05-01-2007, 01:55 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | no way.. they got CF rear hatches for 318ti?? thats cool - who sells them? That would be sweet to have one of those. Seeing as I'm getting a new one. | | | 05-01-2007, 06:33 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I think there is a thread around here about CF hatches. I didn't think anyone actually made them though. Check the search. I'm serious about your bumper. Don't let them throw it away. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 05-01-2007, 10:11 PM | #15 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | Ok I'll save it. I know it can be repainted. The paint was just scraped off the top. I'll let you know. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
