 Fun with Yelow tag steering rack
Finally I replaced the stock rack after 300k miles with a Yellow Tag.
It is completely different feeling when driving. No more loose steering feel; especially in high speeds. It gives me very steady, comfortable and safe feeling.
Many dose not know the secret of the Yellow Tag Rack. I found a video in YouTube stating both Yellow and Purple Tags are same. True, both are 3 rounds lock to lock. But the torsion bar inside the rack of Yellow Tag is bigger than the one in Purple Tag. The trick is done by this torsion bar. With Purple tag, you won't feel the sporty steadiness which gives you by the Yellow Tag.
Try a Yellow Tag and feel the difference. (But it is hard to find. Recently I had a few and all gone.)
You can use E35 tie rod ends with E46 inner rods. |
