Default Hello

Hi all,
My name is Jamie and I live in Australia.

I have owned a 1999 318ti, 5sp manual, Titan Silver for close to 6 months.
Absolutely love it, quirks and all.

I bought the car as a 'rescue'. Body in good order but very much in need of a suspension overhaul.
I have so far rebuilt the entire front end and plan to do a rear sub frame overhaul over the end of year break.

My ti is named Maus, my young daughter reckoned the ti looks like a little grey mouse, so the name stuck.

Thank-you for making 318ti.org such a good resource.
Jamie

Default Maus Update

I Have now owned my Titan Silver 1999 318ti for a bit over 2 Years now.
I can safely say I am hooked. I have really enjoyed the work done so far to bring a car that was destined to be scrapped back to life.
The work done so far has concentrated on the underside of the car.
My 318ti (Maus) has had the front and rear sub frames completely rebuilt, suspension completely replaced. All wheel bearings, brake calipers, rotors and CV Axles have been replaced.
A fault that took some time to fix was the notorious trifecta of fault lights. Turned out to be the ABS pump and controller. That job was horrible.
I currently have a buggered drivers window regulator need to be replaced.
Not much has been done for a while; but I have been able to source all M-sport body parts and interior; so Maus is going to be getting a cosmetic upgrade.
Looking forward to seeing the end result with the M-sport bars and skirts along with the set of 16" style 42 wheels I have.

Sounds good!

With the suspension refreshed, it'll drive like the go-cart it once was.
