A few others from these forums have done this same mod, but when I was searching for it I never found a how-to so I figured I would add one. Clean it up. I used the bath... | | | | I had the front bumper off again today and wanted to point out that if your gonna do this make sure to shave off the plastic lip on the top of the lip (I hope that made sense). Theres a lip of plastic along the top and if you shave that off it will give you a better fit. Thats a project for a warmer day though. | | By ATF on 12-23-2007, 05:25 PM | I wish there were car junkyards around me... I'd like to do this. Have you guys thought about putting some forever black on it to make it darker? I guess this would really only apply to those who have darker cars (not the silver Ti) | | | If there isnt a junkyard in your area you could probably go on VWVortex.com and ask for one, Im sure most MKIII guys have one sitting in the corner of their garage. If not Im sure VWVortex.com could also direct you to a parts place online that could get you one new, it would still probably be less then any other lip you could find for these cars. Yeah Im going to do something to make it look a little better this spring. There is no point cleaning it up this winter when it is going to be dragged through all the snow and salt. | | | I have a brand new Volkswagen Golf / Jetta / Vento MK3 GTI VR6 Euro Spoiler Lip Duck Bill for sale for this mod. It's made in Germany and is high quality. Paid $65. MAKE ME AN OFFER. | | | can you post a picture of it?? | | | Is it really appropriate to post "for sale" ads in a "how to" thread? Seems to me like you'd have better luck posting your ad in the "For Sale" forum. | | | agreed! post up this in the for sale and include a picture please! sorry for the thread steal! | | | Sorry as well for the thread steal! Will post in the for sale with a picture. | | | Your car is where I got the idea to do mine, great mod, it completely changes your car. | | | Excellent mod!!! it looks real nice! | | | Anyone try anything other than a MkIII Jetta front valence? Around me, only two salvage yards have one ... One wants me to buy the entire bumper assembly and the other wants $80 for the valence. | | | Quote: Originally Posted by MacUser Anyone try anything other than a MkIII Jetta front valence?
