Plenty of people do LSx swaps into E36s. I wouldn't be surprised if a 2JZ has been done too, check the swap forum on bf.c

I've seen an E36 coupe with a 2JZ, I'm sure it could be done on the ti but it will be a lot of work and money to get it all working right

Kinda off topic but I've seen a 2jz swap into an S2000 at an autocross one time.
Talk about amazing, the car was putting down a claimed 600+rwhp and from the way it moved I have no reason to not believe the HP claim.

The 2jz is an amazing engine, would be awesome to see in a Ti.

This is abut the 10th swap thread on this topic. No one does it. If you're serious do it. If not just search 2JZ, read the feedback, and move on.

Its all possible, just how much money and deciation are you willing to put into it? Ls1s are getting pretty cheap and there are kits out there for the e36 guys if you cant or wont do your own fab work. Its something im working on right now.
