the last picture, the slot in the plastic looks a little rough around the edges like someone cut it out with an exact-o knife or something, but since you bought them that way, I can't figure out why they would be like that

Okay, I got a little confused as to what you were referring to.

The radiator cover attaches to plastic pieces that start way up high and dangle low.

The pork chops are actually the tire spats.

I had no idea what they were actually, to clarify, I was talking about the two plastic pieces on the ends of where the splash guard would mount

The radiator cover attaches to part #6
51718212143 LEFT
51718212144 RIGHT

You can see how it fits on this thread:
http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...t=10688&page=2

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that's the part. I know it hangs down from the top.

Thanks guys, if it attaches to part 6, the correct part numbers for M42 equipped compacts are
51718156247 and
51718156248

Sorry, didn't realize you have an M42. Should have figured that out with your profile pic, and the fact that it lists '95 right below that!

Thanks, I'm going to get under there and have a look and see if I need to get those parts or if I totally missed the mounting points now that I know how it hooks up..
