on the 323...
replaced hood cowl cover, and remounted rearview mirror, also replaced wiper inserts... tomorrow fuel tank lid spring (waiting for part)

on the ti...
replaced outer door handles (gaskets were ugly and cracking), while in the door re-cemented the door panel clips (not the first time doing this)... tomorrow hatch struts and antenna grommet (waiting for parts)... how many of you lost your ti's antenna at some point?

The Graf WP in my M42 has never gave me any problems after 50k+ miles. I feel the same about a composite impeller...

Started the window repair today. One of the arms was bent. Tried to bend it back but I'm not sure if it helped. Got everything assembled and then noticed the roller bearing plastic was broken in a manner that there was still plastic around the rivet, and the "wheel" part of it was in the slider. I tried some jb weld on those two parts, hopefully I didn't get it on the actual bearing part of it. If that doesn't work, is there any real way to replace that bearing? Or is it a whole new regulator? I might check the pick-your-part tomorrow morning.

I really want a california roof so I don't have to open the windows.

Just ordered a valve cover gasket, new brakes and spark plugs. Got some hatch struts in the other day.

Determined that I need a new window regulator today. Buttoned up the door panel and unplugged the switch. I'll wait till I'm not busy to get to it.

Put in the replacement water pump (bad bearing) and also replaced the hydraulic tensioner while I was at it. Everything is nice and quiet again up front.

IIRC, the window regulator in the Ti is the same as a sedan, so that should make it easier to find one in a salvage yard. And a Cali roof, while great, comes with it's own set of potential issues, all more costly than window repairs..

I had a bad window regulator on my '96ti, when I bought it. I went to BMW bought a new one.
No more problems for years. Cost: $160 bucks.
The problem with buying a used one, unless you enjoy changing it (NOT) is you are buying someone elses problem and putting it in your car.
If you spring for a new regulator, the problem will be solved for 10 years, instead of a few years or months (or days with my luck) until the used one is wore out.
JMHO.
