Default Whats your top speed?

Hey I thought it would be cool to see what every one has "topped their car out at".Most I've ever hit has been 128mph with a cold air intake and chip reprogrammer.

I am probably hitting 115-120 at the track but I rarely look at my speedometer.

Oh, and I've been to whatever the car is governed at. I was watching the road, not my speedo.

I have the garmin colormap streetpilot III, a GPS, and has a trip computer that records the max speed... according to that (which happens to be a little less than the speedometer reads) I was going 156.9 mph . but I read it right at the beginning of the 160 line. @ 6700 rpms

Speedo said 120, GPS said 116. On a stock 95 club sport.

That makes no sense. Usually the GPS is more accurate. The speedo is inherently low.

well.... that was my reading. the gps is accurate... but the reading is late. there is a delay, because if I am going @ a constant speed, is a lot closer, but if I am accelerating, the reading is not 100% precise. I beleve for an accurate reading you must be @ constant speed. so it does make sense right?
