Default best cold air intake?

so ive read various things on cold air intakes and have heard that it not only gives you a little extra hp but also boosts your gas mileage. Either way though, i dont like my panel K&N and am looking for a new one, preferably cone shape cause ive been told you get better results with them. Any suggestions on what brand to get?

and can anyone explain what "fogging" your airbox means and what results you get from it?

http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...ghlight=fogged

fogging is basically running a tube from your stock airbox down to or near the fog light as a source for cold air. Since i have run it my gas millage has gone up +2 and during a nice damp cold night you REALLY feel the pull of the car. I was running on a short ram for a while and in city or in traffic the car felt slower than a crappy civic. With the fogging which only cost me under $25 i get a nice kick from around 3-redline =D

Yeah i have a CAI cosmo as well. it has a nice sound to it and ive noticed a lil bit of hp, not much. no more than 5hp i'd say. but its still a nice set up to me. the cone K&N filter sits behind the fog light so gotta be careful whenever it rains for puddles.

As Weezer, said this has been discussed to no end. My favorite is still the dual M42/M44 set up. Unless you know what you're looking for you would never know it's there, it's cheap, and the stock airbox actually does a good job of keeping the intake temps close to ambient when the car is moving. I've been very happy with this mod.
