Default Reverse Abnormal Idle

Every time I switch into the reverse, my idle dips from .8k to .5k, back and forth, but only lasts for a few seconds. If I gas it a few times, it goes normal, or if I switch it into drive. Anyone know the cause of this?

I've noticed this with my car too and it is a manual.

After some research, I think it might be the coolant temp. sensor. I'm gonna find out soon.

maf, idle control valve, vacuum leak.

In no way shape or form is this a coolant temp sensor.

Happens to me too. I would like to stress that it NEVER happens to me unless I'm in reverse. Very strange.
