Default ABS Light

My ABS light is illuminated, but my anti lock brakes work fine. Any ideas?

Here is some background. When I was diagnosing my starter I got a spark that fried the instrument cluster. I replaced it with a cluster from a Z3, everything works fine except the ABS light is illuminated. I went out and tested my brakes, and the ABS still works fine.

Could this be a faulty/disconnected wheel speed sensor, or would that cause the entire ABS system to stop working? Could it be something with the instrument cluster, incorrectly illuminating the light? Could I have damaged the ABS controller module slightly, but not enough to take it out? Where can I get ABS codes read?

Thanks

BMW dealer or an independent mechanic with a GT1 or DISplus diagnostic computer. I don't think a normal OBDII scan tool will give you the ABS codes.
