So did anyone watch it this past weekend? I dog sat all weekend so i watched most of it,man was it awesome. You got Travis Pastrana doing a double back flip on his bike, that was just nutz. That was probally the best trick done at the x-games this year. Although there were alot of sweet tricks and some terrible falls. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 08-07-2006, 03:47 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | I didn't get a chance to watch the games this weekend. Travis is the man. He has a TV show on Fuel TV called nitro circus and it showed him learning the double back, it was awesome. | | | 08-07-2006, 04:11 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Tacompton, WA Posts: 309 | i wanted to watch it but i was at work __________________ 95 318ti Alpine white, E46 m3 front bumper, Clear Corners, Cosmo CAI, k&n filter, Flowmaster catback, front strut bars, sony 12" sub Kenwood 800watt amp & Aiwa Deck, stickers Future: Angel Eyes, Drop, Rims, and rear bumper 318ti.org sticker (added 100HP) | | | 08-07-2006, 07:21 PM | #4 | doesn't care about you. This is the greatest stunt ever performed at the x-games. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCYSZtV6ZvI __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 08-07-2006, 07:24 PM | #5 | doesn't care about you. Seeing Colin McCray flip his car was kind of fun to watch though.. Amazing that it just rolled over and kept on going... If Pastrina wasn't involved in rally racing they never would have had it in the x-games.. I guess the good thing is that maybe now we will get better coverage of the WRC events.... I still think this shouldn't be in the x-games and more water sports or racing events like street luge should be included. I'm also not a fan of the style of competition that they use for surfing, but I'll be watching... Still not sure why they don't use the ASP pro format for the competition.. | | | 08-07-2006, 08:02 PM | #8 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT | I think this is the guy who's from Providence,RI. He would've lost the race if the last guy didn't roll over his car with only 3 turns to go. The best part was he hit the jump rolled over and kept going and missed beating Travis by a second. Thats was nutz. Over all the whole competition was great, everyone goes so big for the x-games it's great. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 08-07-2006, 08:45 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Yeah I saw the replays of the rally event and was pretty shocked. When did rallying become part of the X games? I dont think rallying should be part of the x games. The worst part was the jumps they put in. Its like they want the cars to do skateboard tricks. I prefer the real WRC. I have to admit though that pastranas slide around one of the corners on the street part of the course was pretty awsome. His double backflip was ok too. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-14-2006, 10:38 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Lake Stevens, WA Posts: 119 | Travis also got the holeshot in the Supermoto race, but crashed in the first turn. Considering he crashed at least once more, I think 10th wasn't bad. My friend Mark B. should have won, but for a bad pitstop. Supermoto is great, I used to race until I got hurt a couple years ago. I raced against Ward once, but I couldn't even use the age excuse, because he is a couple years older than me!?! __________________ Pete N | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
