One would assume that everything is only reverse from the US model since its RHD. Did you take the the battery box completely out??? Thats how i found it.

I undid the clip that holds the battery in but I have a problem with the bmw alarm. I did not recieve the key to disengage it and therefore it goes off whenever its disconnected from the battery. I have tried to contact BMW to sort it and they say they cant help, I really need to contact Scorpian and see if they can get me a spare key out.

I will run the 0/1 gauge soon I think, its been too long without sounds and the rest of the install is making good progress.

Are you removing the fusebox too?

I removed all 4 screws and lifted it up to access the wire

Biggest pain of my life was trying to get all 4 screws back in - 1's still only half in.

Let me guess: the half-way screw is the one nearest the firewall and hood hinge.

You've obviously been there before

Been there, done that, bought the tool (a long, thin torx screwdriver, to be precise).

Finally did it today and now have a working system. Did not have to remove the fusebox but had to relocate the battery, take off the paneling behind ot to access the plug for the wiring loom thats located there and find the small grommit next to it.

Then I had to remove the glovebox and some foam and sound deadening before i could get to the grommitt. The rest was childs play and I now have sounds in my car. Pics to follow.
