Default How do I know if my car is an OBD I or OBD II?

I have a 96' ti and I need to replace an oxygen sensor. I looked at advance auto and they only show the upstream sensor. Even on the BOSCH website it shows only an upstream sensor. I thought that 96' and up were OBD II. Can anyone tell me which it is? Thanks.

if it's a 96 it should be an OBDII. Perhaps if it was an early build date 96, it might be an OBDI, but I doubt it. Look under the car, if it has 2 o2 sensors, it's an OBDII. AFAIK, All m44's were OBDII and you could also try typing your VIN in on realoem.com

Look for the port under the driver's side of your dash. It's a small rectangular box with a 1/4 turn screw.

I believe there's a group buy for o2 sensors currently running.

Tried tapping my VIN into the realoem website and my car ('97 M44) is supposed to be obd2 but if I look under the car I can find only one o2 sensor. Does this mean my car is easier to "chip"? It has a maf not a afm Is this right or has someone been fiddling?

OBDII is US emissions. Europe has EOBD. European emissions and equipment is different from US equipped cars.
