I have been looking on ebay and have come across a few that I like, but the seller usually says they wont fit. I'm looking for black wheels since I think it would match my green quite well and I was also a big fan of black wheels to for some odd reason Any help would be appreciated. Something similar to these would be nice. 17" prefer | | | 04-05-2007, 06:33 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | Check out the ASA AR1 at tirerack.com They have a fairly similar mesh design and are available in black with the silver lip. ASA's are quality wheels too. | | | 04-05-2007, 07:13 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Oklahoma Posts: 179 | I like them, thanks. Not sure what I decide though. They show them in 18", I thought the ti couldn't sport 18's that well. Would save me money from lowering it. | | | 04-05-2007, 03:03 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by React I like them, thanks. In case I'm misunderstanding you, I'll just say the outer diameter of the tire does not change (much) as you upsize the rim. It does however make you look like a jacked up getto pimp mobile if you have low profile tires and stock springs. 17's or 18's +no lower= FTL __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 04-06-2007, 04:38 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Oklahoma Posts: 179 | I think the wheels in top link would look nice on my car, but DAMN!! | | | 08-15-2007, 10:56 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Denver, Co USA Posts: 99 | | | | 08-15-2007, 11:08 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: These wheels are manufactured in a original equipment plant to original specification. | I think the fact that those ads try to play themselves off as being OE wheel manufacturers just shows that they are trying to trick people into thinking those are actually BMW wheels. They could be an original equipment plant for tractor wheels or lawnmower wheels. Those wheels seem awfully cheap compared to BMW wheels. Honestly, I don't trust any BMW knock off wheels on ebay. | | | 08-16-2007, 08:09 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | kaydenver has a pretty good deal. As far as the ebay stuff, give them a call. If they won't answer your questions, hang up. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
