I just replaced both of those today.

Rubber Boot 13-71-1-247-031 $38.00
Air Hose 13-41-1-247-782 $6.63

The air hose had to be special ordered though.
It's not awefully hard to put in, if you take that small cover off you can use a flat head screwdriver to help push to old hose off the nipple while pulling on it.

Then use some lithium grease on the small end of the hose and push / twist it onto the nipple and ta da.

But if that doesn't work the intake has to come off.

Hope this helps.

Ah, I had to order it from BMW. My neighboor is a mechanic for the dealership downtown, so i get good deals.

It's the first #6 the diagram its not drawn right but its the same part number as what I have here on my reciept. It's an odd shaped hose anyways.

if bav auto does not have it on there site, that dosent mean they dont have it, its not a item that they sell often...you would have to call them to see the prices.

jladd, i thought i was looking underneath my own hood for a second there. my intake boot has a little glue on the side to patch a crack and i threw some ever-handy black electrical tape with a hose clamp on the air hose as well.

just the thread ive been looking for. for some reason i havent been able to find these parts numbers anywhere (esp the intake boot) or maybe im just too lazy. thanks boxy

The intake boot you can just search for at bav auto or whever ever you get your usualy get your parts.
I believe the part number for the boot is: 13 71 1 247 829 (bav auto #) or 13711247031 is what the link above shows for a part #

I'm still trying to hunt down the second hose that connects to that boot. it has a small split where it connects to the boot. not sure if i realy need it or not. might just throw a little electrical tape on it and call it good.

Also Try Pelican Parts. They have pretty much everything.

Necro... I know figured I'd reply to a thread rather than start new...

Just a quick question.

My 98 ti with ASC+T
The 2 boots I need are #7 and #10 on this pic? My TB-ASC Pipe is tarting to crack at the TB from me pushing it around (and it's 11 years old) the elbow bit from the ASC-MAF has a tape patch as it's torn thru.

I have one that was on my car for about 3000 miles if not less, removed when I did a motor swap.

Let me know if you want it.
