Default Anyone boosting a 318ti w/ high miles?

I made a post about a 318ti I'm considering, and saw this sub section of the site. I did a search in this section only for high mileage or high miles, but I didn't come up with anything.

Has anyone had experience with a high mileage (180K or more) 318ti under boost?

I ran 15psi on a M44 up to 173K with no issues. I traded that motor as a core for my stroker motor. Metric Mechanic accepted the core and said it looked great inside many miles left on it. Trust me I real hard on my motors. I don't lift to shift, I keep the gas WOT banging the limiter, shift and slide my foot off the side so the clutch dumps hard on every shift

I can confirm this. John gives that motor hell and it takes it. it's one nasty little 4 pot.

I installed my DASC at 100k, with 15psi pulley! After 40 or so track days and now 172k all is well! I've been impressed with how reliable my set up has been.

When at the track I'm not nice too it!

When properly maintained the M44 is reliable even when boosted, but my car had 60k when I bought it and was obviously well cared for.

These motors will last 400K if taken care of. No over heating and regular oil changes with other common maintenance and these motors last forever. M4x motors are very well built except for cooling issues and that oil leak we all get from the filter housing.

Only my opinion... John S

I've been thinking of doing something simalar, but don't know much about Turbo chargers, especially if my motor can handle it or not. 297k miles.
