Posts: 102 | Just picked up my new ride! 1997 ti, silver, 107K miles... and best of all, completely stock. I guess it's an Active, with leather, cruise, OBC, etc. Flying colors through smog, too, because the PO just installed a new cat. Anyone wanna buy my 1970 '02 so I can free up some funds for goodies? | | | 08-13-2006, 09:24 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Congrats. Sounds like you got a pretty good car. I would love to buy your 2002 if you wanted to sell it for $2k or less. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-13-2006, 09:28 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: tailgating your slow ass Posts: 518 | POst up some pics may be interested | | | 08-13-2006, 09:38 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Oakland, baby! Posts: 102 | Here's my little trooper... I picked it up in AZ and drove it back to NoCal. No rust ANYwhere, except for a few little bubbles at the trailing edges of the rear wheel wells. All new front end - ball joints, control arms, strut top mounts, tie rods, track rods, urethane bushings, discs, pads, etc. Bilstein HD on all 4 corners, stripped out the whole interior, removed old sound deadening, rust proofed (there was NO rust on the floors) & installed modern sound insulation (Brown Bread). Brand new Falken tires (100 miles on 'm at most), vintage Momo Veloce steering wheel, Schroth AutoControl belts, too, which are way cool. No doubt I'm forgetting some other stuff. Also have extensive spare parts which may or may not be included... 2K is about half of what I was thinking __________________ www.bmwtuner.net - come say hi! 1997 318ti, meyle control arms, Bilstein Sports, BavAuto springs, treehouse racing eyeballs, Rogue Engineering RSM 1957 VW Oval window | | | 08-13-2006, 09:41 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Yeah thats what I expected but I thought I would at least try. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-14-2006, 05:38 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Oakland, baby!
