Default Picked up a Clubby

A friend and i drove out to new hampshire this past week to fix and pick up my new clubsport. It needed a clutch and control arm, so i brought some parts and wheels for it. Total trip, with both cars was a good 2600 or so miles if not more. We drove the active 325ti with 4.10 gears and made 400 miles per tank, beat that. The clubby managed a good 450 or so, without an o2 sensor reading...tore the wires during the clutch install. We had tons of fun driving through the mountains and taking on trails in the woods, also camped out in the two cars.

Congrats on the new Club Sport, looks really nice! I love that color on the ti's. It looked like a really fun trip for you two guys. Mind if I ask what you paid for it?

You should also consider posting your CS here to help keep that thread updated and for the historical info on these cars.

So, what engine are you going to swap into it?

Wow looks like fun. How did the ti's fair on the off road. I can see it already. 2 ti's going at it rally style. What fun!

You should consider going to a junk yard, and finding a 318ti with a trunk. Then just swap it with yours. You might need to fix the trim/frame first though. Then get the new painted before placing it on. The mount it.

Yea, defiantely not style 5's, mine are much more aggressive. BBS rz412s 17x8.5 ET13 3" lip on all four.

Both tis did wonderfully on the trails.

Was planning on putting in the 2.5 this week...the 1.8 is a toal gas sipper, but i cant get over the loss of raw power compared to my 325ti.I let nate drive my 325ti and he easily chirped fourth with the stock 16s. Also, in comparison to other engines in its class, it gets ran down by civics, crxs, focus z models, and many other four bangers in its class, yet, the 325ti runs with mustang gts, charger r/ts, and many others outside of its field.

Im thinking about selling the moregrun ti for anything i can get from it and buying an x3/5 or another bimmer.

Also, it will be getting an S engine at some point or a mildly built m50 with boost.

Nice pick up on the clubby! Should've stopped by MA for a quick mini meet since you were in the NE neighborhood.
