OK, so now that I own a 318ti, I want to be sure to refer to it properly. So, is it a Bimmer, or a Beamer/Beemer? Why? What's the difference? __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!

thanks aceyx I thought beamer was the incorrect why, I just wasnt 100% sure on that.
If you think about it, it really doesnt matter what you call it, just make sure you dont say it around another hardcore bimmer driver or else they might get offended. Bimmer is correct, but it really doesn't matter since 99.9% of the population are still going to say Beamer. I hear "Beemer" all the time reffered to as the car. I cant help but shake my head in disgust  . I'd have to say both are used not by idiots, but rather just ignorant newbies. As a long-time rider of BMW bikes (bought my first one in May of 1971) and driver of BMW cars (bought my first one in November of 1971) I cringe whenever I hear either goofy term of endearment. My cars are BMWs and my bikes are BMWs. I'd gag trying to say either bimmer or beemer.
