I see that the guy in the yellow car either hit another car, or got really close to hitting another car atleast three times. The bumper is missing off of the Ferrari for a reason. I'm thinking they hit something... Notice how they tried to emulate the donut around the car scene from Tokyo drift(haven't seen the movie, the scene in the commercial), and right before he is about to go straight into the other car it cuts to a different scene. At the end you can clearly see people jumping out of his way when he heads off into the crowd. Doing donuts isn't that tough with a lot of rear wheel power and torque. There is no control in what they are doing other than avoiding stuff. Get two cars out their doing syncronized spins and donuts without hitting each other and I'd be impressed. I'd rather watch the Bill Young or Bodelli precision driving teams. All I see is a heavy foot, and a serious lack of judgement. | | | 07-10-2006, 06:46 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn Maybe I'm missing the talent piece. Talent is when you can make your car swing back and forth like a pendulum on purpose and in control. Doughnuts take no skill. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-10-2006, 07:29 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Bristol UK Posts: 91 | Quote: Originally Posted by Platanos That made my ears hurt. It didn't have that distinct Ferrari sound to it. I think that there is more stupidity than talent in that video. Doing donuts and drifting in the middle of a public street that still has normal traffic passing by and pedestrians on the sidewalk is in the same category as street racing. Even if he is a very talented driver its no excuse to be reckless and irresponsible. Just my 2 cents... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
