Default wires in the trunk by cd changer

I have wires in the trunk I have no idea where they should go. The first harness and I say harness cause it has a plastic conector on the end, has four wires and comes from the carpeting behind the cd changer. Yes the car does have a cd changer and it is hooked up and works. The second harness is under the carpet of the floor on the same side. It has a six wire plug. Two of the wires on this are grounded to the floor pan. Both sets of wires are wrapped in what looks to be a factory plastic covering. My tail lights all work, the speakers all work. What are they to?

I wonder if that is for the extra amp for the premium stereo?

I guess it could be. It does have the funky 10 speaker set up, and a factory 6 disc changer. hard to believe those 4 inch speakers could handle an extra amp. A friend thought it might of had a factory sub like his newwer mustang gt 500. I've never seen a set up like this in a bmw but then again I can't say I've looked in the trunk of a lot of bmw's - under the hood but not the trunk.

Humm, that's disappointing. I guess I'm going to have to pull back some carpet and see where they go to. I just did a search on the factory amp and what it should look like. Can't say these look like anything like from the photo's people have posted.
