First give him the blinker, THEN flash your lights" It's a joke about slow cars blocking the fast lane in Europe / Deutschland. It's strictly forbidden to pass on the right (actually it is here too, just everyone ignores that fact). Some of the more spirited / eccentric Autobahn drivers are quite aggressive when it comes to letting you know you're in their way. It's courteous to show a blinker towards your left first, then flash someone with your brights, then honk if neccessary. Some people jump right in and flash you and start honking from a ways back (i.e. if they're doing 240km/h and you're doing 120.) And sure enough, if you force them to have to even as much as touch their brake pedal, you're going to get an earfull of horn as their 911 Turbo passes within MILIMETERS of your bumper as soon as you leave the #1 lane. So is it funny now? : ) | | | 02-28-2008, 04:59 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | seems pretty cool and yeah my dad does the blinker thing and sometimes flashes his lights. someone should photoshop it in english. I understand the intent of well-traveled uber cool drivers who do the blinker thing but nobody here understands. Cool cartoon though! I'd like it in German on a T shirt as is. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 02-28-2008, 05:18 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | If we're going to photoshop it we might as well write out own gag. How about: "You drive this car and you're not a member 318ti.org? I should beat your ass!" __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 02-28-2008, 05:46 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by blndweasel Some people jump right in and flash you | I had an 18-wheeler do that while tailgating me, and I was going 65! | | | 02-28-2008, 05:56 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Here you go | | | 02-28-2008, 06:03 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | LOL __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 02-28-2008, 06:09 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Colorado, US Posts: 128 | The car is from a driving school. This is someone learning to drive with the instructor doing the talking and teaching the driver the protocol for blinking and honking (an annoying habit that the authorities have been trying to stomp out) | | | 02-28-2008, 06:18 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | How about this one? __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 02-28-2008, 06:36 PM | #12 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by b.u.ti-ful How about this one? | Alta Vista's Babelfish translates this: "mein neuer abstands warner.
