Yeay..... The engine started. It seems that the second wire must sommehow power the DME. The car runs great and the engine is smooth as silk. I will post tommorow pics and maybe a vid.

Lol, You're not coming here and taking anyone to dinner. If anything, we're taking you for a night out since you're the guest. I live in California, so when you get here shoot me an email and we could meet up.

After one week of hard studying(had to take somme important exams) I am now going to get back to finishing my car. I have bought a borla exhaust because I managed to install the standard 325 exhaust with somme modifications but it's just too big so it keeps hitting sommething in the back and also I think that is just too quiet for this car. I will post pictures and a video once everything is done so that the car looks just the way I whant her to.

Thanks again for all your answers and support.

Hello,

I have the same problem as andrei.

I've bought a complete 325i sedan from 1991 as a donor for my 318ti from 1994

When i start him, I get no fuel and sparks.

I looked at the x20 connector and saw that the colors of the cables dont match, when i put in the plug of the m50 harnass. Did they do this to prevent swapping?

So i cut of the plug from the 325i at the fusebox, and i connected al the cables to the orginal 318ti cables at the fuse box. But now if have 5 cables over from the 325i plug. The engine is still going round, but the same as before: No fuel and sparks
I also try cutting the thick green cable in the X20 connector. That supposed to be the signal for the EWS. No result

I'm getting a litte desparate after 4 days...

Greetings from Holland

I've got it running.

The DME had no power fromt the battery.

And also the cables didnt match, so i connected the X20 connector from the 325i fusebox. To the 318ti fusebox.
