Sounds quite simple. 1. Raise the car. 2. Unscrew the sensor bolt, and remove the sensor from the housing. 3. Disconnect the sensor's electrical connector. It appears to be mounted in the wheel well. 4. Apply a coat of "Molykote Long-term 2" or equivalent grease to the new sensor and housing. Any grease will probably do. 5. Rebolt the new sensor into the hub 6. Reconnect the sensor's electrical connector. | | | 07-16-2005, 12:27 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | what is bentley out of interest, i keep hearing about it.... __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 07-16-2005, 04:10 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | It's a brand name of repair manuals. Just like Chilton, or Haynes, if you've heard of those? Anyways, it's considered the best of all the consumer manuals out there. http://www.bentleypublishers.com/ You can get them at most online BMW shops. Although, since the 318ti is sort of an E36/E30 mutant (suspension wise) the manual is not "complete" for our cars. Still a great help though | | | 07-16-2005, 06:56 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | don't spose you have a scanned copy of the page or some pics? __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 07-17-2005, 01:41 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | looks like the car will be heading for the garage after all, the abs sensor bolt is seized solid so will need to get them to do that. there's no end to repairs!!! __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
