You might have to swap speedometers.. If the one form up north only has kilometers per hour.. There are specialty outfits in Vancouver BC that broker the import part... You have to work with Canadian and US customs, there are several long detailed forms.. My mother in law brought a 74 Camaro back years ago they ended up getting a room at the border for a day. The half-hour reference was what I found when googling, I'll check the reference again (at work now). It was saying that it was free too, and that definately sounded BS. Thanks for the info PDX. I hadn't thought rigs up there were fair game. That is a clean, clean club sport. I love looking at engine bays like that one. Lets see more of that millpoint! I'm not sure that I could handle the social responsibility of a club sport like that there. Is that really the stock ride height? | | | 08-13-2013, 11:18 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Vancouver, BC Posts: 26 | Interior photos: the car is currently stored underground where the lighting is bad to take better interior / Millpoint pictures. Stay tuned please! | | | 08-14-2013, 04:49 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Most cars are North American spec, with diesel cars being the biggest exception.. They made my mother in law install a US spedometer.. other than that the 74 was easy.. besides warming a bench at customs while they argue about the righgt way to do the paperwork.. LOL Dave | Hello, just to clarify that my car is a USA spec car so the dashboard is in miles. No mods were done in order to bring it into Canada. Flying to Vancouver, buying a car, and figuring out how to get it back home legally so I can cruise home along the coast sounds more like a good way to invest a few days rather than a huge hassle... Haha. | | | 08-28-2013, 04:08 PM | #13 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: California Posts: 2 | Well, then! I am pretty ready to move forward with this, and start discussing the details. So I'll drop you a line. | | | 09-28-2013, 09:01 PM | #14 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: On Posts: 17 | Importing cars over 15 years old is usually fairly simple for those looking to buy in the US | | | 01-04-2014, 06:42 AM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Vancouver, BC Posts: 26 | Hi JeffyD.
