Recently, I redid it with switches that actually light up, also adding a switch for my iPod interface. Photos in gallery: http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showpho...o=3428&cat=715 The switches are actually red, but do blend in rather nicely. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 10-12-2006, 01:22 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | not bad.. and they disappear when not in use | | | 10-12-2006, 03:09 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: dorchester Posts: 700 | hay mate they look good,,,just out of interest..the ipod interface..can u just give me abit more info..ie..have u replaced the cd changer in the boot(trunk!) with the ipod? im trying to find a way of connecting my ipod but i dont want to lose the cd player in the back..... | | | 10-12-2006, 06:13 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Naw, just a tape adapter. Using a Auto Kit for iPod w/ Dock Connector with a tape adapter running through and behind the dash into the radio. I'm kind of screwed if the tape adapter fails. I have to pull the radio to get it out. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 10-12-2006, 07:30 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 456 | Quote: Originally Posted by oakley hay mate they look good,,,just out of interest..the ipod interface..can u just give me abit more info..ie..have u replaced the cd changer in the boot(trunk!) with the ipod? im trying to find a way of connecting my ipod but i dont want to lose the cd player in the back..... | DUDE! iPOD replaces CD's. Completely. There is absolutely no need for a CD if u have an iPOD. Espically with an interface. Get rid or outdated Conpact Discs. They scratch and are a lot to carry around. Plus the Lens that reads inside the CD player always gets dirty and the quality just gets worse. GET RID OR THE CHANGER! Sell it while you can still make some money! Well I do have a 60 gig. __________________ SPEED IS NOT AN EQUATION CONSISTING OF DISTANCE DIVIDED BY TIME. In the night shot you took the switches look great to, blend right into the rest of the dash lighting. | | | 10-13-2006, 02:58 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Uh, what do the switches do? Not that that's important or anything... __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 10-13-2006, 05:10 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Machine guns, smokescreen and oil slick. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 10-13-2006, 11:11 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Sweeeeet!! Reminds me of a daydream I had shortly after being cut off and brake checked on the freeway. Something about adding a paint ball gun underneath the radiator and pointing out (ever so subtley) so that I could fire a shot or two James Bond style. Not sure what that would sound like but sure fun to think about. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 10-14-2006, 12:23 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | One of my all time faves.......
