Just drove my new toy home today '97 318ti with a '98 M3 swap (s52), it has a Dinan chip, dinan intake and M3 front suspension with M3 brakes all around, the car runs really good and very impressed with the engine (I'm new to BMW cars). If everything was done up correctly and everything works, I'd say that the $8000 price tag is worth it.
If you were to do all that yourself, you may have spent as much or more.
