Quick update - awesome results at Buttonwillow this weekend - see ustcc.com for details. I think we've got a setup on the rear of the car that actually works now. I'm going to try to get pics when I get down to the shop later this week and pull the car out of the trailer.

New wing is by APR, Omnifab fabbed some supports that let us adjust height during testing.

A quick shot under the rear - the main problem in going low on the back of the ti is the swaybar starts to hit the axles under compression. BTM Motorwerks in Campbell have modified the swaybar mounting points along with the swaybar itself. Eccentrics can't be seen in this shot.

Wing is definintely functional. With the aero modifications, we were 7 seconds a lap faster in our sunday race compared to last year at Buttonwillow. Our 2:01.9 qualifying time was pretty good for a car with a little more than 200whp.

The dyno in my gallery was done with the engine (obd1 M52) with S52 cams, off the shelf OBD1 S52 GIAC software from DSR, headers, stock airbox, and exhaust that was made from an e36 M3 center section with some cherry bombs welded on the end. We've reworked the exhaust since then for a little more torque. But yes, basically a M52 with bolt-ons.

Me too!

Oh and if you check out p74 of the November 2008 Sport Compact Car, we're in there too, minus the wing.

Nice work Andy...sweet ride.

I thought I was lucky having Mosport any weekend I want, but Infineon looks fun...I have lots of video game seat time, but nothing like the real thing!

I was looking at doing somthing similar for engine, eccpet maybe M50...but also still thinking S52 as thats what's going in my E30 right now, we'll see how that works out???

I tracked this car for a long time with just the stock 4 banger, but any of the M5x engines make a very nice car. The first M50 I got cost me just the time to go pick it up.

I thought I'd posted them, but here are the videos for that race as well - USTCC's production as well as my in-car:
