To be honest, the same transmission is used in the 328i which puts out 207 ft-lbs. I'm just saying it can get close. Please do not take what I said to be any sign of the car's condition. From what I have seen it appears to be in completely immaculate condition and I would love to be able to check it out myself.

Ehhh...the thing about auto's is that it's not a matter of if, but when it will fail. All automatics fail eventually. Usually before 100-120,000 miles...unless you're driving a GM model in which case expect half of that (I'm not talking about the GM trans that BMW uses!). So with that in mind you could theoretically say that anyone should be careful when they buy an auto regardless of mileage. Just like you would be careful not to buy a manual with a roasted clutch. Plus with all the FI 328's running around with that trans, it seems to be up to the task. This is just like BMW saying that the n54 trans will die above 330 +/- tq. (BMW's rating), when people are pushing 420+ lb-ft. tq. and have been for 30-40k miles with no issues via Dinan software.

thats something you should pm me in private to discuss. shipping is tricky, i will not take any responsibility for damages and you are on your own setting it up, after cash payment is made, as that is only payment type i will accept, so for your saftey as well as mine ideally you want to pick up vehicle and title at time of cash paymnet, this way you can inspect it and know what you are getting exactly, this is all assuming i would accept your offer whcih at this time i cant do $8500, especially on a more risky shipping transaction, if you are still interested and want to discuss this further, please pm me in private as there are things to discuss. Check your email, Thank you.
