If you truly want a turbo for your M44, you're probably going to have to design and build it yourself because there is no "turbo kit."

SEARCH this site for a lot of turbo info. There's finally one active thread that seems to have a good chance for success.

This same story has unfolded dozens of times. As roadrash has said, there's only ONE thread that seems like it might have a chance. Unless you have the resources and the experience to do what this guy is doing, don't even bother:

From the sound of things, going by the questions you've asked, I'd say that you have a 5% chance of actually starting the project, a 2% chance of actually finishing it, less than a 1% chance of it actually working and a 92% chance of blowing your motor up. Good luck.

Ok well I guess the question you really need to ask yourself is "Am I willing to spend twice as much as this car is worth to get a turbo that might work, or spend a couple hundred bucks running stock with a turbo and blowing my 'lame' engine?"

Thats about as far as my knowledge on the turbo subject goes for an M44 engine, and I'm not going to pretend like I know more. Realistically, an engine swap or a DASC (good luck finding one) is your best bet. But neither is going to be cheap. You can't put $400 into this motor and expect big gains.
Quick equation---- $$$$$$+318ti=power not to be confused with $+318ti=power

Anyways welcome to the forum, and maybe search for the thread "Any Turbo Guys Here?" If you are actually serious about spending the cash that a turbo will require.

More like:

additional hp X 318 = cost
