Unhappy The DASC is no more...

If you haven't already purchased a DASC, you've missed your chance. Downing Atlanta is now sold out of the last of their stock of Eaton Gen 3 MP62s, Magnuson has discontinued that supercharger and Downing is not interested in investing the time/$ to retool the entire kit for a different supercharger. If I hear any new information from Jim, I'll let you guys know, but it appears to be the end of an era

Yes, it is a bummer. I just had three kits ship out to customers and was informed when ordering the third that it was the last one ever. Jim did tell me that understeer.com has sold more DASCs than any of their other vendors, so that was kind of cool though.

Hmmm... changes the answer to the perennial question "should I buy a DASC or do an engine swap?" doesn't it? ;-)

dang. bummer. i guess within time they'll be more valuable, in good conditions of course, since there's no more.???
but i suppose it helps those that are fumbling with the questions of DASC or swaps to go ahead with the swaps now.

if you don't want a dasc because you can only buy them used, do you realize that you can only get engines used? something to think about (I'm not planning on getting either so I don't care )
