I charged my battery for an hour cranked it and it started. So if that fuseable wire was bad i don't think the car would start. When it did start the battery light came on and then after a few minutes my abs.asc+t and airbag light came on. There wasn't that much power to my car cause my cd changer wouldn't even work. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 05-15-2006, 07:09 PM | #4 | doesn't care about you. I had the same thing happen to an old z24 cavalier like 10 years ago. Once the battery is dead, the car stops running. If you keep a battery charger on the battery while it's running, I bet the lights will stay off (of course, it's impossible to drive like this, but it's a good test). The fuseable link will probably require removing the intake manifold, as it connects DIRECTLY to the alternator. OK, you convinced me to walk down to the car to grab the Bentley manual. I'll post the procedure in a little bit. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
