Last night post on bf.c So, tonight i went to hang with friends and got stopped by a train. So, instead of sitting there idle and overheating, i pulled off to the side of the road and turn the car off. Once the train is gone, i go to turn the engine on and it cranks, SNAP CRACKLE POP, then WHIIIIIRRRRRRR. Son-of-a .......... the ear to the starter snapped off. I guess one of the bolts had backed themselves out so one was constantly stressed and decided to let go. Dustin came out and gave me a pull start and i ran to autozone. Thank god, i bought the starter from them with a lifetime warranty and i got a new one for free. Unfortunately, it took them about 20 mins to find my warranty due to my changed number and address. Before i could get the new starter, they needed my old starter. Big S I G H.... In autozones parking lot, at night, not too much light, tore the old starter out and put the new one in. Took about an hour-hour fifteen with out good light. All good...then my turn signals and cluster went out. #23 fuse blows each time i turn the key. Thats tomorrows fun stuff. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-27-2008, 09:56 PM | #306 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma Yea, i thought it was very generous of him to do. Sorry I couldn't do anything last night / this morning. I was up in the beer pong tournament for most of the night - the unfortunate side effect being massive quantities of beer being consumed. . . Racing this morning was a no-go since I wasn't about to drive home last night. . . | | | 07-28-2008, 06:04 AM | #308 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Yea, its no biggie. I hit you up for autox with no response but was totally looking forward to it. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-28-2008, 05:14 PM | #309 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 130 | You need to be there around 8:30 in the morning to race. . . I got your message after 11:00. . . The next one is 2-3 weeks away. I'll send you something beforehand. | | | 07-28-2008, 10:19 PM | #310 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Cool cool __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-31-2008, 09:52 PM | #311 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Blue, what tint were you using for your tails, VHT or niteshades? I want to do mine, and yours looks great, so I'd like to do the same. Would one can be enough? Does it chip easy, or could I put a couple coats on the headlights as well? Don't suppose you want to sell your old ones cheap, huh? I know, newb questions, I just have zero time to search right now. thanks __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. I'd only pick them up from you if you're basically giving them away, I have problem doing it myself. Thanks for the info, appreciate it.
