so the gf bought me a dlp projector for my birthday. here we go big screen movies and stenciling

its definitely nice. picture is good, its bright as hell. my only complaint is that it spits out a lot of heat.

Yea i have a friend that has one and he said the same thing. Do you think they all heat up like that. Or do more expensive brands have a fix for that. I'm not sure since i don't know much about them.

i'd crack i open and look for a 12v power lead and solder on some fans

its got a good fan. those bulbs just get so damn hot. i think its 2000 lumens. the heat has to go somewhere. i'd bet that even the higher quality ones do it.
