Will the MPG (vacuum) gauge work?: No. __________________ 1995 318ti Base - Cosmosschwarz/Sandgrau R.I.P. 1997 318ti Active - Alpinweiß III/Sandgrau 2013 328i Coupe - Le Mans Blau | | | 08-17-2017, 05:42 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2017 Location: UK Posts: 5 | Just like you said, it's in, it does stuff however it doesn't read mpg. That's fine by me though, I only wanted it to fill that horrible void in the bottom of the tach Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | | | 08-17-2017, 11:20 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | Quote: Originally Posted by zoner ... From looking at the wiring diagrams, I would think it might be made to work by adding the missing fuel-injection-time wire from the DME to the non-compact instrument cluster. Can you still get the wiring harness for the OBC retrofit kit? You are welcome. | | | 08-17-2017, 04:10 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2017 Location: Brasil Posts: 1 | odb 1 for 318ti 1995 Hello friend, I have a problem and I would like the help of you, I want to know if you have some good scanner for odb 1 my bmw and 1994 model 1995. | | | 08-17-2017, 04:14 PM | #8 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2017 Location: UK Posts: 5 | Quote: Originally Posted by John Firestone Indeed, as the OBC also needs that missing wire. | I believe so, I'm sure I'll come across a donor at some point to salvage bits off. Either that or go the full hog and swap in a Saloon/Touring dash/doorcards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | | | 08-17-2017, 06:00 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | Once the cluster is installed, the vacuum (MPG) gauge should fall to zero at a stop, and get completely buried on the other side at any acceleration or speed. Like John said, it is possible to make the gauge functional for the ti, it just seemed like more hassle than it was worth to me. Good luck! __________________ 1995 318ti Base - Cosmosschwarz/Sandgrau R.I.P. 1997 318ti Active - Alpinweiß III/Sandgrau 2013 328i Coupe - Le Mans Blau | | | 08-28-2017, 08:16 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2017 Location: Poland Posts: 2 | Well, assume I would like to make it work. Where Should I start and most importantly what should I change to make it work? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
