The oem tape deck needs to go. will consider a cd player oem i guess... but will most likely be going aftermarket. ipod hookup is really what i'm looking for. - review mirror. the car i bought doesn't have one. heh would prefer oem before i hit up autozone for a generic. Would also consider M-style review ovals with the dimmer - rear hatch cover interior piece, tan. One of the feet/pin on mine is broken, so it's annoying to close the trunk. - exhaust. i got the rattles and it's driving me nuts. 156k on it, so its time to replace. might as well do the cat while i'm there too. for a 95 (i assume 96+ will be different due to obd/o2 sensor). Cat too. cat + cat-back would be ideal. will consider aftermarket as well, so long as its not a rice fest. - passenger side fog light cover, black (preferably faded ). i'm missing it on that side. Alternatively, i'd consider a set of oem fogs (if they existed) along with all the hook ups needed - manual. i would like a shop manual specifc to the 318ti. my buddy has a bentley for e36, but it doesn't specially cover the ti body, and frankly, it's pretty generic, like "remove the alternator". no kidding! HOW?! lol - suspension. interested in replace the 150k stock suspension with something better/newer. the rear seems a little sloppy, so an upgrade is due soon. Looking for mostly used aftermarket stuff in good condition. Don't have a spring compressor, so i'm looking for all together already or coilover style. LIMITED budget. I cannot afford $1000 coilovers at this time. - hood. Boston Green in color. Mine is chipping up and clear cost is missing on a lot of pieces. easier to just bolt on a new hood then get the car painted. I have a truck and can pick up in greater new england (im in CT specifically) I will be adding to this post periodically, so check back if you're parting out a car. Thanks for any leads. __________________ 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0t track | 2000 Dakota Former 1995 318ti owner | | | 12-15-2008, 08:49 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Quote: Originally Posted by briansol Things I need: - exhaust. i got the rattles and it's driving me nuts. 156k on it, so its time to replace. might as well do the cat while i'm there too. for a 95 (i assume 96+ will be different due to obd/o2 sensor). Good shape, with the "dimple" required to clear the rear subframe.. probably has less than 5k on it, but it sat for a year. has no rust on tubing/muffler... Let me know if you want just a cat-back... Have those on my car. not bad... I cannot afford $1000 coilovers at this time. | This is a real tough find... ti's have that unique combo suspension with e36 stuff in the front and e30/z3 stuff in the back... not many vendors make the set up for our cars, so almost no used/inexpensive components out there. And to change the rear springs, you will need a spring compressor, period. Best to rent one if you don't want to buy it. A few members (including myself) got lucky when RDSport (American distributor for Racing Dynamics) decided to unload their remaining sets of springs & struts/shocks they had for about $400 complete (I love mine!). They may have one or two sets left (literally), so if that fits your budget, let me know and I will forward the contact info to you for them... also one memeber here has a set, and it doesn't appear he is going to be able to install them (might have to sell the car), so he may offer them up as well... Also, there are several BMW specific salvage yards just outside Sacramento, which is about an hour's drive from me... if you need something from them, let me know... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. Sending you a PM with Suspension info... Shipping the exhaust would be expensive, yes... I'm sure you can find something local... not to worry. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. European Auto Source also has the foglamp sets, for $49. That includes the brackets that the glass fits into. I installed these to repair some issues with my fogs and noticed that the brackets are definitely a different grade of plastic than the originals (probably cheaper) but they fit fine. As previously mentioned, you'd still need the wiring and switch. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
