AC Schnitzer Springs

I just dropped my car with the AC Schnitzer spring set. I can't tell you how great this car rides. I was really worried that it was gonna have a terrible ride. I gotta say, it was money well spent.

thinking of lowering as well.is the acs springs too low with the standard shocks?i was informed that the acs springs are the same make as the eibach sportline springs(eibach makes them both)

Along those lines, Is it common to use some lowering springs with the stock shocks? I've been considering buying some Eibach lowering springs, however I was under the impression that a whole package (plus shocks) would be neccessary. Did you replace the shock mounts as well?

It isn't necessary to replace the stock shocks, but most people do for a couple of reasons. After installing sport (lowering) springs, you can almost literally feel the deterioration of your stock shocks. It won't be too long until you're going to have to replace those worn out shocks, might as well change them while you're there. When upgrading your suspension, changing your shocks and springs go hand in hand. I laugh at all these guys with Civics that put a set of lowering springs on their car and automatically think they have a race suspension! Springs will help your handling, but I found there to be a dramatic difference between the BavAuto springs and stock shocks and then when I added the Koni Sport shocks. Now I traded out the BavAuto springs with H&R Race Springs, which made a huge difference as well. Anyway, it's all about what you are trying to achieve. I autocross and do occasional Driver's Ed's on road courses so I enjoy the REALLY stiff setup.

i know this is an old thread but i'm just curious.how low was the drop with the lowering springs?i'm having second thoughts installing my 40 mm drop springs.thanks
