Default If you are in San Diego Stay away from this shop!

Thanks for taking the time to read:
The Negative review is for the shop in question:
http://bimmermechaniconwheels.com/
I hate to post anything negative on here but I felt I need to let other owners know to beware of this shop. Due to DISHONESTY and just plain BIZZARE behavior. I was referred to Jim by another mobile mechanic because I needed to have a timesert done for some stripped threads on the block for the waterpump. He understood I had my car taken apart and this was going to be a mobile call.
I was totally nice and courteous which is just my general nature. He took down my address and we agreed he'd be at my house at 3:30 the next day. 3:30 rolls around and I gave it till 3:45 to call him since I had received no calls.

Again I was super nice and courteous and called just to see where he was at since I was on my lunch break. He told me he got caught up working on an Axle on an x3 and lost track of time. He would get cleaned up and head right over. He would be here 30-45 mins max. I was really excited because I wanted to put my car back together and just needed the thread repaired. 3 hours later NO call NO show. I called a few times with no answer once it had reached 7pm. Being it was the long labor day weekend I could not find anyone working who had the timesert kit that I needed and could not get it shipped for a week due to the holiday.

Really bad spot to be in, I left a negative review on yelp outlining what I wrote here.
On That Tuesday all hell broke loose, 8 edited responses on yelp between 9-10 a.m. ranging between calling me a liar to the last one saying they had no idea who I was and that my review was obviously fake. I responded with a message stating that I would let every BMW forum I can think of know about what happened and if he wished to work this out and apologize to call me. And this is where it gets really really weird.

Jim did call me so I got straight to the point, "What happened to you the other day man? I was waiting for you all day and you never even called me to let me know you weren't coming. Were you in an accident or did an emergency come up?"

This is where he told me that he was being told by 'the others' that he could not discuss what happened the other day with me.(I Kid you not) And that the past was in the past. I asked him what he meant and why he even called me then? "I've called because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this right" "Well Jim all I ever wanted was for you to do what you said you were going to do in the first place and an explanation and perhaps an apology would be nice, That's what would make this right."

" I've dealt with these scenarios before(I'm sure he has), What will it take to get you off my back? I won't work on your car but I'm willing to pay for your repairs" "I really just want an apology and an explanation Jim, I don't understand why you stood me up?" "I'm not willing to admit that I did anything wrong, I'll pay for your repairs with anyone else, I don't have to answer anything especially when you are slandering me on yelp." "You do know slander refers to lying about events that happened? what exactly did I lie about?" Everything, nothing happened as you said." I at this point recalled the series of events and asked if anything happened any differently, where I was met with another I can't talk about this reply. " Look you seem like an honest guy, let me see if I can find someone to get your timesert done. I will call you back in a few minutes, ok?" "Umm ok"

Well as you would of guessed he never called me back. And then changed his reply back on yelp stating that we had an agreement to have my car towed there and that I was the one who never came through.
If he had just apologized I would have let this go, but the audacity to try and buy me off and that this guy has gone above and beyond to try and cover up what he did as well as trying to make me seem like I'm a liar after HE flaked on ME! Made me want to let everyone know about it.
I still have no idea why he would act like this and at this point I don't care. This guy at the least is dishonest but I think may have some kind of other problems. He was full of promise yet this turned out to be one of the strangest experiences I've had dealing with anyone. Thanks for reading.

Interesting and noticed that most of the positive yelp reviews were from women.
